Early access

Wakebird collects your email and any optional name, city or region, board experience and riding interest you submit. We use these details for Wakebird early-access updates and invitations to product research, only when you agree. Signing up is not a purchase or reservation.

Testing preferences

When optional A/B testing is enabled and you allow it, a first-party cookie called wb_visit assigns a random page version and remembers it for 30 days. We count that browser’s exposure to the test and whether it signs up. Without permission, the default version is shown and no testing cookie is set. Your choice is stored locally in your browser. When testing is enabled, you can change it through Cookie choices in the footer. In single-version mode, no new testing assignments or exposures are recorded. Changing to Essential only stops future test assignment; a previous signup attribution remains part of the saved record.

What is saved

Signups are stored in the site’s server-side database, including whether you joined early access or the general waitlist, consent text and time, campaign tags in the page URL, and test attribution when allowed. Only the authorized Wakebird owner can view or export signup details. The site runs on OpenAI Sites and its Cloudflare infrastructure. Infrastructure providers may process technical request information to operate the service.

To limit abuse, a rotating hash derived from the request IP address is kept for up to two hours. We do not save raw IP addresses in the signup database. Email addresses are deduplicated. No advertising pixels are installed.

Your choices

Reply to any Wakebird early-access email to stop future emails or request removal of your signup details. Contact details are kept for the early-access program until no longer needed or removal is requested. No automatic marketing email is sent by this signup form.
